Also on the rear of the box are the power supply, reset button and an old gold cross on a black background. Below these are the all important (but as yet undrugged) blue buttons. There's volume control, the master channel, the scan, the scan rewind, the power switch and the on/off. That's about all there is on that front.
The back is dominated by the Panasonic CEI logo and a symbol next to the Virgin logo. On the right we have the four HDMIs used for inputs, antenna input and the output. There's a large volume control and aerial socket here, in a yellow plastic surround. The processor (UQC5280A-02E) is sitting in the centre, and Panasonic's SDI processor is two cameras to the left. On the right is a smaller black Panasonic logo which is actually on the rear of the box, and next to it is a Gigabit Ethernet.
The other side of the box has input connectors (you can't see, but it's likely to be a second HDMI, another set of analogue video outputs, an AUX and the ethernet connector. The HDMI outputs should be labelled at the rear, and there's no warranty disc here. You can't see it, but inside the box is, as expected, a cooler and a heat sink (though you'd think the cooler would block the high power HD signal from outside the box).
The front of the box should be just about all you see at first. There's a serial in port with 5mB TXD (I assume this is used with U-View signals), a power button, an indicator light for the Scan rewind mode and a power switch. Next to this is a digital aerial socket, and behind this are power and reset buttons. d2c66b5586
